I build revenue-generating social media platforms and create the content that makes them work.

At NBC's TODAY Show, I built their Instagram account from zero to over 1 million followers. That platform is now one of their most successful revenue-generating channels. I did it by showing up at 3 AM on concert mornings with handmade poster boards, creating systems that turned fans into engaged community members, and collaborating across teams to integrate social into broadcast operations. My work influenced a physical studio redesign—the Orange Room—based on social strategy recommendations.

At Honolulu Civil Beat, I transformed a small newsroom of print journalists into a video-first digital operation. With no prior video experience on the team, I built a livestreaming program that generated direct revenue through Facebook Live donations and attracted millions of viewers. My platform relationships gave us early access to monetization features, making Civil Beat a case study leader featured by the Reynolds Journalism Institute.

One of those livestreams—covering the birth of an endangered Hawaiian monk seal—attracted 3 million viewers and earned formal recognition from NOAA's Protected Species Division Director as "the most far-reaching monk seal outreach tool we have ever witnessed." The work increased public trust in federal conservation efforts and provided operational value to wildlife managers making real-time decisions.

That's how I work. I see opportunities others miss, build infrastructure that scales, and deliver results that change how organizations think about digital.

I've been doing this since social media was invented. Before Instagram had Stories, before TikTok existed, before brands understood what these platforms could do, I was there figuring it out in real time at NBC News, the TODAY Show, and newsrooms that were inventing digital storytelling as they went.

What makes me different is this: I don't just manage social media. I create the content that makes it succeed.

I'm a social media strategist who launched campaigns that drove 450% engagement growth and tripled Twitter engagement in 12 months. I'm also the photographer and videographer who captured the moments that made people stop scrolling. I've produced over 100 award-winning videos, managed 300+ live streams reaching 2 million viewers, and created content viewed by tens of millions of people. I understand what performs because I've been creating and optimizing it for over a decade.

My career has taken me from live television production at CNBC and ESPN to pioneering social media roles at NBC News, Recode, and TD Bank. I've documented breaking news, covered major events, and built content operations from the ground up. I captured lightning striking One World Trade Center—a video that went viral with 25 million views and earned recognition from Apple's Tim Cook. During the 2018 Kilauea eruption, I produced images and video that were recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists and cited on the U.S. Senate floor.

I've worked with major brands including Google, BBC Studios, Macy's, BMW, TD Bank, and Xero. I've won Webby and Shorty Awards for social media innovation and a Ragan Video Award for branded content. My work has been published by CNN, TODAY, Apple Newsroom, Condé Nast Traveler, and media outlets around the world.

But the work I'm proudest of isn't about awards or virality. It's about results.

At TD Bank, I increased internal video engagement by 200% and contributed to a 3x increase in social media impressions during major campaigns. At Recode, I grew conference livestream viewership by 200% through strategic influencer partnerships. At NBC, my former boss wrote that my work created "lasting impact" through initiatives that became "institutionalized across the company in a way that will scale forever."

That combination of strategy and execution makes me valuable. I know what content will resonate before I create it. I know how to shoot it, edit it, and publish it in a way that connects. And I know how to build the systems and teams that keep it going.

WHAT I OFFER

For brands and companies looking for an in-house social media manager or content creator, I bring proven results across every major platform. I can develop your social strategy, create the content, manage the platforms, lead the team, and deliver measurable outcomes. I've built revenue-generating platforms for major corporations and small nonprofits. I've partnered with government agencies and trained teams with no digital experience. I've done it before, and I know how to do it again.

For organizations that need freelance consulting, I offer expertise in social media strategy, content creation, platform optimization, and team training. I help brands figure out what's working, what's not, and how to build systems that scale.

I'm currently based in Oklahoma City and relocating to Vermont in March 2026. I'm accepting both in-house roles and freelance consulting work.

If you're looking for someone who understands social media at a deep level, who can create the content that makes it work, and who delivers results that matter, let's talk.
